Hungry Ghost Festival at Padang Brown
Date: 19th to 21st August 2010 (Thursday to Saturday) Venue: Padang Brown FREE Admission To let tourists as well as locals understand better about the 7th Lunar Month in Chinese Culture, Penang State Tourism Development and Culture and Penang Teong Guan Association jointly organize a Hungry Ghost Festival which will be held at Padang Brown from 19th to 21st August. On 19th August, Thursday, there will be Chao Yin puppetry performances, screenings, chanting of scriptures and more happening at different sections from 8pm to 11pm. Chinese Hokkien Opera will be held from 8pm to 11pm on 20th August, Friday, and 7pm to 10pm on 21st August, Saturday. Read More
