Match Format

  • Each Team is consist of 10 players Maximum (6 Players , 4 Substitute). Mixed Team Format.

  • Minimum 1 Female Player in water at all times

  • Players must be aged 14yrs and above

  • Each match for Round Robin has 2 Halves, 10 minutes each with 2 minute of Half Time

  • Each match for Knockouts has 2 Halves, 15 minutes each with 3 minutes of Half Time

  • Win - 3 points. Draw - 1 point.  Lose -0 point. Teams with most points are able to qualify for the Knockouts stage

 

Gears & Swimwear

Each player will require to have 1 dark and 1 bright colored swimwear & water polo cap to represent your team. Non identical swimwear is allowed.

Full Underwater Hockey gears is a must!

  • Mouth Guard

  • Glove

  • Stick (Black & White)

  • Fins

~ All equipment's will be checked by the organizing team during the Day 1 gear check.

~ Body markers will be provided to each team captain.

 

Referees

  • Each team will require to provide 2 referees when they are scheduled for referee duties.
  • Referees nominated are required to have a basic level 1 referee certification or clear understanding to the basic rules.
  • Water referees will be provided with an orange vest and red glove.

 

Covid-19 Guidelines

  • Malaysia has reopened to tourism. You can enter Malaysia regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status. You're not required to undertake quarantine or complete a pre-departure or on-arrival COVID-19 test. If you contract COVID-19 while in Malaysia, you are required to complete 7 days home quarantine.

  • Monitor the websites of the Malaysian Department of Immigration, My Safe Travel and Malaysian Ministry of Health, and social media for any changes to entry requirements. Confirm entry requirements with the Malaysian High Commission  before travel.

  • The Malaysian Government has eased its COVID-19 SOPs. Under the new SOPs, masks are mandatory indoors, including on public transport and e-hailing rides. Masks are optional when outdoors but are encouraged in crowded places. Penalties apply for breaching these restrictions.

 

Medical Support & Physiotherapy

  • There will be a standby doctor at all times during the event

  • Standby ambulance will also be available

  • Lifeguards will be on duty

  • Ice packs will be available

  • Voluntary Sports Physiotherapy will be available onsite.
