The current and former students of St Xavier’s Institution hope to raise RM250,000 through a musical night themed ‘Touching Hearts with Music’. Proceeds from the event will be used as development funds for the Xaverian schools and to replace the musical instruments of the school’s Marching Band (SXIMB).
St Xavier’s Redevelopment Committee chairman Tan Sri Ong Gim Huat said a series of multicultural performances would be held at 7.30pm at Dewan Sri Pinang on July 6,2017.
He said the musical night would feature the school band, famous artistes and performances from the current and ex-students. Famous local artistes like Regine Tan, Vinky Chua, Jason Teh and Teh Eng Chye will also perform for the event. Not to be missed is the performance by our school’s bagpipers.
The fundraising event is organised by the SXI Parent-Teacher Association in collaboration with Kwong Wah Yit Poh. The funds will be raised via donations at RM50 (one Gold class ticket), RM100 (one Platinum class ticket), RM1,000 (two VIP tickets and ribbon-cutting ceremony), RM5,000 (four VIP tickets and drum-hitting ceremony) and RM10,000 (six VIP tickets and gong-hitting ceremony).
Those with donations of RM1,000 and above can issue their cheques to ‘Yayasan De La Salle’ to be eligible for tax exemption.
